I actually like vaati’s lore videos more than playing the game. It’s too big and overwhelming. I beat it but went no further, because I felt so exhausted like overdosing on an addictive drug. Currently went back to dark souls 2 for rehab.
On the topic of albinurics I've always felt that they become the horn blowers aka the noot noot soldiers. Definitely not cannon but explains the desire to get to the halig tree so they can cocoon and emerge as the little noots
Something I didn't noticed until now, was Astel's name. Astel means "piece of wood" which has a lot of meaning with Elden Ring's tree symbology. But also, I don't know if this is related, Astel is similar to the Minotaur's original name, which was Asterios, which means "Lord of the stars". Maybe, since Astel's "larva" form is similar to a Taurus and his final form is like a stellar formation, it is actually a reference to the minotaur.
You should read the elden ring manga it reveals somethings about the lore and the personality of the characters

Hey! It's that dog!
If that is Miquella's great rune, it being a horseshoe shape makes sense
